Accepting these terms, and how we change them

These Terms & Conditions form the agreement between you and PlayOJO Casino. They apply from the moment you open an account with us and for as long as you use it, on desktop or on a mobile device.

By opening an account, depositing funds or placing a stake, you confirm that you have read these terms and agree to be bound by them. If there is anything here you do not accept, please do not use the site.

The following also form part of that agreement:

  • our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy
  • the terms attached to any bonus or promotion you take part in
  • the rules of each individual game, as shown in the game itself
  • the payment methods, processing times and limits shown in the cashier

We may change these terms from time to time, for example to reflect new features, new payment methods or changes in the law. Where a change materially affects your rights or obligations, we will tell you by e-mail or by a notice on the site before it takes effect. Continuing to use your account after that point means you accept the updated terms. If you would rather not, you can withdraw your available balance, subject to any outstanding checks, and close your account.

Who can hold an account, and what we expect from you

Age and location

Our services are for adults aged 18 or over only. We do not knowingly accept stakes from anyone under 18, and winnings are not paid on an under-age account. Accounts are intended for residents of the United Kingdom, and you are responsible for knowing whether online gambling is lawful where you are at the time you play.

One account per person

You may hold one account only, in your own name. Duplicate accounts, and accounts opened on behalf of someone else, may be closed. Where a duplicate account has been used to claim the same offer more than once, we may remove the bonus and any winnings from it and return your own deposits.

Your details and your login

  • Register with details that are true, current and complete, and tell us promptly if your name, address, e-mail address or phone number changes.
  • Use a payment method held in your own name.
  • Keep your password and any one-time codes to yourself, and do not let anyone else use your account.
  • Tell us through live chat or at support@casino-ojo.co.uk if you think someone else knows your login.

Activity on your account is treated as yours

Until you tell us that your login may have been compromised, we cannot cancel bets or return stakes placed by someone using your details.

Verification checks before you withdraw

We hold a gaming licence and are required to know who our customers are. Before your first withdrawal, and at points while your account is open, we ask for documents that confirm your identity, your age and your address. Where our obligations require it, we also ask about the source of the funds you deposit.

CheckWhat it confirmsWhen we usually ask
IdentityThat you are the person named on the accountAt registration, or before a first withdrawal
AgeThat you are 18 or overAt registration, and again if anything is unclear
AddressThat the address on your account is yoursBefore a first withdrawal, or if your details change
Source of fundsWhere the money you deposit comes fromWhere the level or pattern of deposits makes it necessary

Documents can be uploaded in your account, and our support team will confirm what is needed. While a check is outstanding we may hold a withdrawal, and in some cases pause play, until it is complete. If we are unable to verify you, we may close the account and return deposited funds. Where an account holder turns out to be under 18, all stakes are void and no winnings are paid.

Deposits, withdrawals and bonus play

Deposits

You can only play with cleared funds in your account. The methods available to you, the minimum and maximum amounts and any fees are shown in the cashier and can change. Deposits must come from a payment account in your own name. We do not offer credit, and your balance does not earn interest.

Withdrawals

  • Where possible, we return money to the method you used to deposit.
  • If that method cannot receive payments, we will ask for an alternative in your own name.
  • Withdrawal limits and expected processing times are shown in the cashier.
  • A withdrawal may be held as pending while verification or payment checks are completed.
  • Any outstanding wagering requirement must be met before bonus funds, or winnings from them, can be withdrawn.

Bonuses and promotions

Every offer carries its own terms, which are shown with the offer and sit alongside these. Those terms set out what counts towards a wagering requirement, the maximum stake allowed while a bonus is active, how long you have before the bonus expires and which games are excluded. A bonus not used by its expiry date is removed, together with any winnings still tied to it.

Fair use of promotions

Offers are intended for ordinary play by one person. We may remove a bonus and any winnings from it, and where necessary close the account, where we find duplicate or linked accounts, group play on a shared offer, stakes above the limit set for a bonus, or betting patterns designed to clear a wagering requirement with little risk.

Safer gambling, and closing or suspending an account

Tools in your account

You can set your own controls at any time. The tools in your account settings include deposit limits, loss and stake limits, session reminders, a short time-out and self-exclusion for a longer period. A lower limit takes effect straight away; an increase may be subject to a waiting period before it applies.

If you want to stop gambling with operators licensed in Great Britain, you can register with GamStop. Free, confidential advice and support is available from GamCare, the National Gambling Helpline and GambleAware.

Not sure which tool fits? Ask us on live chat or at support@casino-ojo.co.uk and we will explain the difference between a time-out and self-exclusion before anything is applied.

Closing your account at your request

You can ask us to close your account at any time. We will pay out any available balance once verification is complete. Closing an account is not the same as self-exclusion, so tell us if you also want to be blocked from opening a new one.

When we may suspend or close an account

  • You breach these terms or the terms of a promotion.
  • We have reason to believe the account is being used for fraud, money laundering, collusion or by someone other than you.
  • Verification cannot be completed.
  • The account has been inactive for a long period; we will contact you at the address on your account first, and the treatment of any remaining balance is explained there.

Complaints, liability and the law that applies

Raising a complaint

If something has gone wrong, write to us at support@casino-ojo.co.uk or start a live chat. Please include your username, the date and time and the game or payment involved. We acknowledge complaints promptly, look into them within a reasonable time and give you the outcome in writing with our reasons.

If you are still not satisfied

Where we cannot settle matters between us, you can refer the complaint to the independent dispute resolution service named in our complaints procedure, at no cost to you. Using it does not affect your legal rights.

Our liability

We work to keep the site and the games available and accurate, but we cannot promise uninterrupted service. If a game malfunctions, the round is void and stakes are returned. An obvious error in a payout, a displayed balance or the terms of an offer may be corrected, and we may recover an amount paid in error. We are not responsible for losses we could not reasonably have foreseen, or for losses caused by your own breach of these terms or by equipment and connections outside our control. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited in law.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any dispute arising from them will be settled there. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
